How long will this course take?
Most students complete the qualification in around 12-18 months, but you can finish sooner if you are ready to move faster.
If you need more time, we will work with you to create a study plan that suits your goals and meets funding or workplace requirements.
You will have up to 24 months to complete your studies. More time may be available in special circumstances.
Course Structure
This qualification includes 13 units: 6 core units and 7 electives.
Each unit includes assessments designed to build practical workplace skills.

Apply critical thinking skills in a team environment

Support personal wellbeing in the workplace

BSBPEF201 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to advocate for and feel empowered
about personal wellbeing in the workplace. It involves developing and applying basic knowledge of factors that may influence wellbeing, both positively and negatively.
Participate in sustainable work practices

BSBSUS211 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to measure, support and find opportunities to improve the sustainability of work practices.
Use inclusive work practices

BSBTWK301 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and interact productively with diverse groups of individuals in the workplace. It covers responding to and working effectively with individual differences that might be encountered during the course of work.
Assist with maintaining workplace safety

Entry Requirements
Computer and digital access
- A computer, tablet or laptop with a webcam for virtual assessments through Microsoft Teams
- A working internet connection
- Business software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
- An active email account for communication and scheduling
Work Placement / Experience:

Ideally, you should have access to a business environment where you can apply your learning. If you do not currently have workplace access, speak with us and we will explore options before you enrol.
Pre-enrolment Skills

Before you start, we’ll assess your Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills through a pre-enrolment skills assessment. This helps us understand the support you may need during your studies. For a Certificate III qualification, you’ll need Level 3 skills in learning, reading, writing, oral communication, and numeracy as outlined in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).
If you don’t meet these levels, we’ll guide you through support options available. You’ll also receive a practice assessment to help you prepare.
Unique Student Identifier (USI)

To enrol in nationally recognised training, you’ll need a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This ten-character code (numbers and letters) is required to enrol and to receive your qualification. For more information or to create your USI, visit usi.gov.au.
